What is BS EN 45552 about?
BS EN 45552 discusses the general method for the assessment of the durability of energy-related products. ErP, energy-related products, are products that use energy, or that do not use energy but have an indirect impact on energy consumption. BS EN 45552 defines a framework comprising of parameters and methods for assessing the reliability and durability of Energy-related products. BS EN 45552 is used in the preparation of product or product-group standardization deliverables. BS EN 45552 has been developed under standardization request M/543 of the European Commission to support Directive 2009/125/EC.
