What is ISO 11898-1 - Data Link Layer and Physical Signalling about?
ISO 11898-1 is the first part of the standardization that provides guidelines Controller Area Network (CAN) data link layer and high-speed physical layer. ISO 11898-1 includes Logical Link Control (LLC) sub-layer, medium access control (MAC) sub-layer, and physical signalling sub-layer (PHS). CAN is a serial communication protocol, that supports distributed real-time control and multiplexing for use within the road vehicles and other control applications.
