Overview

IEC 61073-1:2009 - "Fibre optic interconnecting devices and passive components - Mechanical splices and fusion splice protectors for optical fibres and cables - Part 1: Generic specification" is the fourth edition of the IEC generic specification for fibre optic splice hardware. It defines requirements and quality assessment procedures for mechanical splices and fusion splice protectors used with optical fibres and cables.
