Overview
ISO 1030:1975 - "Coniferous sawn timber - Defects - Measurement" defines international methods for measuring defects in coniferous sawn timber. The standard applies to unplaned sawn timber and timber that has been surfaced to size or planed but not profiled. ISO 1030 is based on defect classification in ISO 1029 and refers to terms and definitions in ISO 1031. Published as a trilingual edition (English/French/Russian), ISO 1030 replaces the earlier ISO/R 1030 recommendation.
