Overview

ISO 20383:2025 - Tractors and machinery for agriculture - Speed Identification Sign (SIS) defines a standardized visual identification system for the maximum specified ground speed of agricultural field equipment used on public roads. The standard specifies the SIS shape, dimensions, colours, materials, positioning and related operator information so that farm machinery speed capabilities are clearly and consistently communicated to other road users and towing operators.

- Manuals must state that maximum travel speed is the lesser of road limits, vehicle capability, or the specified ground speed of towed equipment.
