ISO 22397:2014 provides guidelines for establishing partnering arrangements among organizations to manage multiple relationships for events impacting on societal security. It incorporates principles and describes the process for planning, developing, implementing and reviewing partnering arrangements. ISO 22397:2014 is applicable to all organizations regardless of type, size and nature of activity whether in or between the private, public, or not-for-profit sectors.

Overview

ISO 22397:2014 - "Societal security - Guidelines for establishing partnering arrangements" provides practical guidance for organisations that need to form partnerships to manage events affecting societal security. The standard describes principles and a structured process to plan, develop, implement and review partnering arrangements between public, private and not‑for‑profit entities. It is applicable to any organisation, regardless of size or sector, and supports interoperability, continuity of operations and coordinated prevention, preparedness, response and recovery.

Planning the arrangement
