What is PD CEN/TS 17262 - Biometric Automated Border Control about?
International travel records of travellers can have a direct affect on national security. PD CEN/TS 17262 helps you to do just that. CEN/TS 17262 provides requirements and recommendations for the implementation of automated border control systems in Europe with presentation attack detection capability. PD CEN/TS 17262 covers the evaluation of countermeasures from the Biometrics perspective as well as privacy, data protection and usability aspects. The biometric reference data can be stored in an electronic machine-readable travel documents or in a database of registered travellers. PD CEN/TS 17262 covers biometric impostor attacks and biometric concealer attacks in a watchlist scenario. PD CEN/TS 17262 addresses presentation attack detection for facial and fingerprint biometrics only. Note: Enrolment, issuance and verification applications of electronic machine readable travel documents other than border control does not cover by PD CEN/TS 17262 .
