1 Scope This British Standard specifies requirements for thermoplastics ancillary access fittings suitable for the construction of gravity drains and sewers, other than conventional branches, bends and couplers which are covered in BS EN 1401‑1:1998. It is applicable to access fittings with nominal sizes of 110 and 160 together with necessary joints and accessories. Methods of test, associated guidance and information on quality control testing are given in Annex A, Annex B and Annex C.
