BS 6001-0:2006 is part of the BS 6001 series. It provides a general introduction to acceptance sampling by attributes and provides a brief summary of the attribute sampling schemes and plans used in BS 6001-1, BS 6001-2, BS 6001-3, BS 6001-4 and BS 6001-5, which describe specific types of attribute sampling systems. It also provides guidance on the selection of the appropriate inspection system for use in a particular situation. BS 6001-0:2006 supersedes BS 6001-0:1996, which has now been withdrawn.
