BS 6462 specifies requirements for the mechanical performance of peg-type casement stays and face-fixed wedge-action fasteners for use on top hung and side hung aluminum, plastics, steel and wood casement windows up to 1 m2 in area. Note: BS 6462 does not cover sampling. Note 2: The security of windows against forced entry depends upon many features and is not covered in BS 6462 .
