What is BS 6870-2.5 - T itrimetric method for the determination of iron in aluminium ores about?
BS 6870-2.5 is an International Standard that specifies a titrimetric method for the determination of iron in aluminium ores. The method has been chosen to avoid interference from platinum which may occur with the use of platinum crucibles in the acid decomposition procedure. The method is suitable for use with ores having iron oxide contents between 2 and 50 % ( m / m ).
