What is BS 9251- Code of practice for fire sprinkler systems about?
BS 9251 is a British Standard on firefighting systems which are primarily intended for the protection of life in case of fire and have additional benefits for property protection and firefighter safety. BS 9251 gives recommendations for the design, installation, components, water supplies and backflow protection, commissioning, maintenance, and testing of fire sprinkler systems in domestic and residential occupancies. BS 9251 is applicable to any addition, extension, repair, or other modification to a residential sprinkler system.
