What is BS EN 12896-6 – Passenger information data model about?
The reference data model covering the domain of Passenger Information describes the data needed for applications providing passengers with relevant information on planned and actual services. The passenger information data model includes data components which go far beyond the ‘static’ planned timetable.
PD CEN/TR 12896 series provides informative and didactical material to users. CEN 12896 series provides a conceptual model of common public transport concepts and data structures that can be used to build many different kinds of public transport information systems, including timetabling, fares, operational management, real-time data, journey planning, among others.
PD CEN/TR 12896 presents the reference data model for public transport, based on the reference data model, EN 12896 , known as Transmodel V5.1.
PD CEN/TR 12896 is composed of the following parts:

Containing the data dictionary, i.e. the list of all the concepts and attribute tables present in the main document together with the definitions
