BS EN 15016 is a European standard that discusses the technical drawing for railways. BS EN 15016-1 is the first part of a multi-part series that outlines the requirements for the preparation, administration, and reproduction of technical drawings for railway applications . BS EN 15016-1 complies with the requirements of EN, ISO, or IEC Standards for technical drawings. BS EN 15016-1 applies to technical drawings for railways, irrespective of technology i.e., mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, electronic, etc. BS EN 15016-1 applies throughout the total life span of the drawings. BS EN 15016-1 also applies to all the railway organizations and parties concerned with technical drawings, and suppliers preparing drawings for railway applications. Note 1: BS EN 15016-1 does not apply to the technical contents of the document. Note 2: BS EN 15016-1 does not apply to building documentation.
