What is BS EN 29073-3 – Nonwovens about?
BS EN 29073-3 is an international standard that focuses on the best quality of nonwoven fabrics. BS EN 29073-3 specifies a method for the determination of the tensile properties of nonwovens by the cut strip method. BS EN 29073-3 covers technical specifications such as the principle of the test method, apparatus used, sampling of the test specimen, preparation and conditioning of test pieces, procedure, expression of results, etc. for determining the tensile strength and elongation of nonwoven fabrics. Note: Anomalies can occur when testing some spun-laid and glass fibre nonwovens. This may require modification of the test procedure.
