BS EN 61935 is a series on testing of balanced and coaxial information technology cabling. Balanced and coaxial information technology cabling is a type of electrical cable consisting of an inner conductor surrounded by a concentric conducting shield, with the two separated by a dielectric (insulating material); many coaxial cables also have a protective outer sheath or jacket. BS EN 61935-3 specifies conformance testing for home cabling. These conformance tests include visual inspection, verification testing and either qualification testing or certification testing. Documentation for the test results is also specified.
