What is ISO 4947 about ?
ISO 4947 is an international standard on steel and cast iron on the d etermination of vanadium content to improve its quality. ISO 4947 specifies a potentiometric titration method for the determination of vanadium in steel and cast iron. ISO 4947 is applicable to vanadium contents between 0,04 % (mass fraction) and 2 % (mass fraction). ISO 4947 provides information on the potentiometric titration method which includes apparatus, sampling, and procedure.
