What is ISO 5079 about?
BS EN ISO 5079 specifies the method and conditions of testing for the determination of the breaking force, and elongation at the break; when fibres are wet. It is applicable to all fibres, including crimped fibres, provided the length of the fibre available enables the gauge length specified. Note: ISO 5079 is restricted to the use of the constant-rate-of-extension testing machine.
