1 Scope This International Standard specifies the requirements for case hardened and tempered metric thread rolling screws. Thread rolling screws according to this International Standard produce female threads which fit ISO general purpose metric screw threads, in the range from 2 mm up to and including 12 mm nominal thread diameter, for use in general engineering applications.
ISO 898‑1 is not applicable to screws made according to this International Standard.
