BS ISO/IEC 19795-1:2006 provides a framework for developing and describing performance tests of biometric technologies, to help achieve the best estimate of performance of a technology and avoid bias due to inappropriate data collection or analysis. It addresses specific philosophies and principles that can be applied over a broad range of test conditions. This standard is essential for testing laboratories concerned with the evaluation of biometric technologies, and is important to all those vendors whose products may be involved with such evaluation.
