It has been prepared for use as a contractual reference for demonstrating a manufacturer's capability to produce stud-welded construction of a specified quality.

Abstract

ISO 14555:2017 covers arc stud welding processes and defines requirements particular to stud welding: production equipment and control, welding procedure specification (WPS), welding procedure qualification (WPQ), operator qualification and testing and inspection criteria for both static and fatigue-loaded applications. Annexes provide guidance on processing (Annex A) and on adopting requirements selectively where not all clauses are applicable (Annex B).
