This international standard provides requirements and recommendations for planning, installing and operating telecommunications cabling and cabling infrastructures (including cabling, pathways, spaces and telecommunications bonds) in support of generic cabling systems and associated documents.

Abstract

ISO/IEC 14763-2:2019 (Edition 2) specifies the specification of installations, quality assurance, installation planning and practice, documentation and administration, testing, inspection, operation, maintenance and repair for customer premises cabling. The 2019 edition adds guidance for remote powering over telecommunications cabling and extends planning and installation practices to locations outside buildings; it excludes detailed safety and EMC requirements and specific power-supply cabling rules (which are covered elsewhere).
