EN ISO 10079-1:2022 (Medical suction equipment - Part 1: Electrically powered suction equipment) specifies safety and performance requirements for electrically powered medical and surgical suction devices. Published by CEN and aligned with ISO 10079-1:2022, it applies to equipment used in hospitals, domiciliary (home) care, field use and transport. This fourth edition replaces the 2015 edition and incorporates revisions that reference the general requirements now covered in ISO 10079-4:2021.
