Overview
EN ISO 1119:2011 (ISO 1119:2011) is a Geometrical Product Specification (GPS) standard that defines a standardized series of conical tapers and taper angles for general engineering use. It provides calculated values for a series of cones or conical tapers with cone angles from 120° down to less than 1° (equivalently taper ratios from ≈1:0.289 to 1:500). The standard applies only to plain conical surfaces and explicitly excludes prismatic pieces, taper threads, bevel gears and similar non‑plain conical forms. EN ISO 1119:2011 was prepared by ISO/TC 213 and adopted by CEN.
