Overview
EN ISO 14451-5:2013 (ISO 14451-5:2013) defines the requirements, test sequence and categorization for airbag gas generators - the pyrotechnic gas sources used to inflate vehicle airbags. This European adoption by CEN applies to type tests for pyrotechnic articles for vehicles and excludes articles containing military explosives or commercial blasting agents (except black powder or flash composition). The standard supports conformity with EC Directive 2007/23/EC for pyrotechnic articles.
