Overview

EN ISO 17562:2021 (ISO 17562:2016 adopted by CEN) specifies a standardized test method for measuring the linear thermal expansion and the linear thermal expansion coefficient of monolithic fine ceramics (advanced/technical ceramics) using the push‑rod (dilatometry) technique. The method covers a wide temperature range-from near liquid‑nitrogen temperatures up to a maximum of 2 000 °C-and is intended for reproducible laboratory determination of dimensional change versus temperature.
