Overview
EN ISO 24444:2020 (ISO 24444:2019) is the international in vivo method for determining the sun protection factor (SPF) of sunscreen products. The standard specifies a controlled human-subject test procedure and acceptance criteria to evaluate protection of human skin against erythema induced by solar ultraviolet (UV) radiation. It applies to cosmetics that contain components capable of absorbing, reflecting or scattering UV rays and that are intended for contact with human skin.
