Overview
EN ISO 25197:2020/A1:2022 (Small craft - Electrical/electronic control systems for steering, shift and throttle - Amendment 1) is a CEN-adopted amendment to ISO 25197:2020. It updates normative references, clarifies terminology and user-interface requirements, and adds specific provisions for dynamic positioning systems (DPS) and electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) testing. The standard applies to the design, construction and testing of electrical/electronic steering, shift and throttle systems and dynamic positioning control systems on small craft with hull length up to 24 m. It does not cover electric trolling motors or autopilot systems on sailing craft.
