Overview
EN ISO 6682:2008 (identical to ISO 6682:1986 incl. Amd 1:1989) is a CEN-adopted standard for earth-moving machinery that defines ergonomic zones of comfort and zones of reach for controls. It establishes operator-focused control location guidance from the seated position using a Seat Index Point (SIP) XYZ coordinate system and anthropometric data for large and small operators. The standard is intended as a design guide for operator compartments and supports conformity with relevant EU Machinery Directives (see informative Annexes ZA/ZB).
