Overview
IEC/IEEE 61850-9-3:2016 defines a Precision Time Protocol (PTP) profile specifically for power utility automation. It is a profile of IEC 61588:2009 / IEEE Std 1588-2008 tailored to meet the highest synchronization classes required by IEC 61850-5 and IEC 61869-9.
