Overview

IEC TR 63061:2017 - Adjusted volume calculation for refrigerating appliances provides a uniform method to calculate adjusted volume, a parameter commonly used in energy-efficiency assessments of household refrigerators, freezers and refrigerator‑freezers. The Technical Report standardizes how compartment volumes are weighted according to their operating (target) temperatures so energy comparisons and labeling are more meaningful across different appliance designs and markets.
