Overview

ISO 10156:2017 - Gas cylinders - Gases and gas mixtures - Determination of fire potential and oxidizing ability for the selection of cylinder valve outlets specifies standardized methods to determine whether a gas or gas mixture is flammable in air and whether it is more or less oxidizing than air under atmospheric conditions (101.3 kPa, 20 °C). The standard is used for classification of gases and gas mixtures, including the selection of cylinder valve outlets, and supports transport and GHS classification decisions. It does not cover safe preparation of mixtures under pressure or at non-ambient temperatures.
