Overview
ISO 10437:2003 defines requirements and recommendations for special-purpose steam turbines used in the petroleum, petrochemical and natural gas industries. The standard covers the full equipment lifecycle - including design, materials, fabrication, inspection, testing and preparation for shipment - and extends to related systems such as lube-oil systems, instrumentation, control systems and auxiliary equipment. ISO 10437 is specific to special-purpose applications and is not applicable to general-purpose steam turbines (see ISO 10436).
