Overview

ISO 10552:2014 - Timekeeping instruments - Crowns and sealed tubes - Designs and dimensions defines standardized designs, dimensions and tolerances for crowns and sealed tubes used in water‑resistant wristwatches. It applies to mechanical, electromechanical and electronic watches and sets dimensional relationships, manufacturing limits and designation conventions to ensure interchangeability, sealability and quality in horology components.

Tolerances: Specified in accordance with ISO 286‑1 (tolerance system for linear sizes).

- Inside diameter of crown gaskets (types 1 & 2) shall be 0.20 mm to 0.25 mm smaller than the sealing tube diameter.
