Overview
ISO 12085:1996 - Geometrical Product Specification (GPS): Surface texture - Profile method - Motif parameters - defines the terms, parameters and a theoretically exact operator for determining surface texture using the motif method. The standard specifies how to identify and combine motifs from the primary profile, how to discriminate depths, and the measuring conventions needed to calculate roughness and waviness motif parameters reproducibly.
