Overview
ISO 12829:2023 specifies test methods to verify the rated fatigue life and the rated static burst pressure of the pressure-containing envelope (the filter housing) of hydraulic spin-on filters with disposable elements and a finite life. This second edition (2023) updates the procedures for cyclic endurance (fatigue) testing and static burst testing used to demonstrate that production housings meet declared pressure-life ratings.
