Overview
ISO 14403-2:2012 - Water quality - Determination of total cyanide and free cyanide using flow analysis (Part 2: continuous flow analysis, CFA) specifies a validated laboratory method for measuring cyanide in a wide range of water types (ground, drinking, surface, leachate and waste water). The standard covers automated continuous flow analysis (CFA) workflows, typical cyanide concentrations (usually 2 µg/l to 500 µg/l; the method describes a practical range of 10 µg/l to 100 µg/l) and adaptations for challenging matrices, including seawater.

- High particulate or high-salt samples (>10 g/l) - filtration or dilution; consider using gas-diffusion instead of distillation.
