Overview
ISO 14847:1999 - Rotary positive displacement pumps - Technical requirements defines the technical requirements for rotary positive displacement pumps and pump units, excluding safety and testing. It covers design, materials, sealing, lubrication, connections, auxiliary equipment, installation, marking and preparation for dispatch. The standard applies to pump manufacturers, specifiers and purchasers to ensure pumps are suitable for the intended liquid, environment and operating conditions. (It does not apply to rotary positive displacement pumps for fluid‑power applications.)
