Overview
ISO 15401:2000 - Ships and marine technology: Bulk carriers - Construction quality of hull structure defines the quality requirements for the hull construction of steel bulk carriers (single-skin). Published in 2000, the standard sets out inspection, processing and documentation practices for steel materials, fabrication, welding, coating and dimensional accuracy during shipbuilding. It does not apply to double-skin bulk carriers; maintenance and repair are covered separately in ISO 15402.
