Overview
ISO 15840:2004 specifies requirements for thermosetting resin fibreglass pipe and fittings intended for marine piping systems. The standard covers reinforced thermosetting resin pipe systems with nominal diameters (DN) from 0 to 1 200 mm (NPS 0 to 48). It defines classification, design and performance criteria, test methods and inspection/sampling rules tailored to shipboard and offshore applications where durability, fire performance and material compatibility are critical.
