Overview
ISO 15989:2004 defines a standardized laboratory method for measuring the water-contact angle of corona-treated polymer films and converting that value into an estimated wetting tension (surface energy). The procedure covers droplet deposition, optical measurement and basic result interpretation for virtually any polymer film - except films whose surfaces chemically attract water (i.e., show intrinsic water affinity).
