ISO 20921:2019 - Textiles - Determination of stable nitrogen isotope ratio in cotton fibres specifies a laboratory method to measure the stable nitrogen isotope composition (natural N abundance, expressed as δ15N) in cotton fibres and raw cotton. The standard describes the principle, sampling and pre-treatment, analytical instrumentation (EA‑IRMS), weighing conventions and reporting needed to produce accurate and reproducible δ15N results for cotton used in textile production.
