Overview

ISO 21924-5:2017 specifies additional requirements and test methods for genital protectors and abdominal protectors used in unarmed martial arts (taekwondo, karate, kick‑boxing and similar disciplines). It supplements the general provisions in ISO 21924-1 and focuses on sizing, zones of protection, restraint, impact performance and test procedures to verify safety and performance of martial arts protective equipment.
