Overview
ISO 22553-4:2019 - Paints and varnishes - Electro-deposition coatings - Part 4 specifies standardized test methods to assess the compatibility of electro-deposition (e-coat) coating materials with liquid, paste-like and solid foreign materials. The standard defines three contamination test methods (Methods A, B and C), required apparatus and reagents, and evaluation procedures to detect surface defects and coating performance changes caused by downstream production contaminants.
