This document specifies the composition, functional and performance requirements for a payload interface of civil unmanned aircraft systems (UAS), with the maximum take-off mass of 0,25 kg to 25 kg which relates to level II through IV according to ISO 21895. ISO 24354:2023 - "General requirements for the payload interface of civil unmanned aircraft systems" - specifies composition, functional and performance requirements for payload interfaces on civil unmanned aircraft systems (UAS) with maximum take‑off mass from 0.25 kg to 25 kg (levels II–IV per ISO 21895). The standard applies to the design and manufacture of physically independent payload interfaces that connect an external payload to an unmanned aircraft (UA), covering mechanical, electrical and communication aspects to ensure safe, reliable and interoperable payload integration.
