Abstract

Overview

ISO 24469:2023 - Road wear test of studded tyres - defines a laboratory/track test method to evaluate the wear that studded passenger-car and light-truck tyres cause to road surfaces. The method quantifies road damage by measuring the mass loss of prepared granite test stones after controlled vehicle passes, providing repeatable data for tyre development, regulatory assessment and pavement impact studies.
