ISO 3994:2014 - Plastics hoses - Specification for helical‑thermoplastic‑reinforced thermoplastics hoses - defines minimum requirements for hoses used for suction and discharge of water, weak aqueous chemical solutions, and abrasive solids/slurries. It covers three duty classes (light, medium, heavy) and applies to ambient temperatures from −10 °C to 55 °C. The standard is intended for non‑flammable, non‑aromatic applications (fire‑fighting hoses are covered by ISO 14557).
