Abstract

Overview

ISO 4471:1982 - Wood - Sampling sample trees and logs for determination of physical and mechanical properties of wood in homogeneous stands specifies a field sampling protocol for selecting test areas, trees and logs to be used when measuring physical and mechanical properties of wood. The standard defines how to identify homogeneous stands, how to inventory and group trees, and how to record sampling data using the annexed forms (Annexes A–E).
