Overview
ISO 4741:1984 specifies a molybdovanadate spectrometric method for the determination of phosphorus in copper and copper alloys. The standard defines principle, reagents, apparatus, detailed procedure, calibration and expression of results, and test report requirements. The method is applicable to phosphorus contents in the range 0.0005 to 0.5 % (m/m) and covers dissolution, interference removal, extraction and spectrophotometric measurement.
