Overview
ISO 6502-3:2023 specifies a laboratory method to determine selected vulcanization characteristics of rubber compounds using a rotorless curemeter. It describes the test principle - a rubber test piece in a heated die cavity is sheared by an oscillating die while the reaction torque on the stationary die is recorded as a function of time - and gives requirements for apparatus, calibration, test procedure, data expression and reporting.
